Concert by the students of the conservatories of Saint-Nazaire, Nantes and Angers in the framework of Kaija Saariaho's residency with the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire. Premieres of works written for Sampo during the RéDi-Musix project.

The students from the conservatories of Saint-Nazaire, Nantes and Angers regularly meet Kaija Saariaho to write compositions on a theme suggested by the Finnish composer. This project could not take place without a partnership with the chamber music classes of the named conservatories.

From a common musical phrase, taken from Kaija Saariaho's piece Changing light, the students of the writing and composition classes of the three conservatories have created variations on this theme.
